Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Platform Resourcing. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections and servicing of manufacturing equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement continuous improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Support the maintenance of operations across all sites, including breakdowns and preventive plant maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Qualification in engineering, equivalent to NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 or HNC/HND/ONC in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering circuit schematics/drawings.
  • Experience in performing diagnostics/fault finding and repairs to a high standard.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work flexibly with changing shift patterns.
Benefits:
  • Salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience, inclusive of shift allowance.
  • Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary.
