Head of Commercial Contracts and Legal

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, navigating the complexities of compliance, regulatory standards, and risk management. You will provide strategic legal guidance to support the company's rapid growth, overseeing all legal aspects of the business, and ensuring operations and transactions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with financial institutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance: Develop and implement compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Corporate Governance: Provide strategic guidance on corporate governance, ensuring the company's legal framework is robust and effective.
  • Financing: Manage financing arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • GDPR: Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations, protecting the company's data and that of its clients.
  • Employment and Visa/Immigration: Manage employment and visa/immigration matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with External Lawyers: Collaborate with the company's panel of external lawyers, ensuring seamless legal support.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced lawyer with 5-9 years of PQE, preferably from a Tier 1 law firm. You will have a deep understanding of the intricate legal landscape within the finance and tech sectors.
