We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RVN to join our team at Swayne & Partners Newmarket clinic, covering Maternity Leave on a fixed term, full-time contract. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, plus a 1:4 - 1:6 weekend rota at our 24-hour Hospital in Bury St. Edmunds.

**The Role**

The successful candidate will support the Veterinary Surgeon with consults, record owner contact, care for inpatients, and provide handovers to the night inpatient vet. Key responsibilities include:

  • 8 or 10 hours shifts
  • Support the Veterinary Surgeon with consults as necessary
  • Record all owner contact to ensure the best continued care for patients
  • Care for inpatients throughout the day, adjusting treatments and carrying out diagnostics and procedures as necessary
  • Confirm plans for the night team by writing patient kennel sheets and adjusting medications accordingly
  • Contact inpatient owners as necessary to update them on their animal's progress and plan
  • Support with providing a handover to the night inpatient vet as and when required
