About Our Neuropsychiatry Team

Cygnet Pindar House is a specialist care and treatment facility for men affected by acquired brain injury. Our team of Speech and Language Therapists work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and psychiatrists to provide person-centred support to individuals and their families.

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team, who has a specialist interest in working with individuals with acquired speech, language and communication needs associated with neurological changes. Your experience of eating, drinking, feeding and swallowing assessment and management will be essential in this role.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, advice and treatment to individuals with acquired speech, language and communication needs.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve person-centred goals and support individuals to achieve their planned outcomes.
  • Supervise and manage another Speech and Language Therapist who works in the service on a full-time basis.

Requirements

  • Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
  • Membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
  • Willingness to develop and supervise onsite other SLTs.
  • Experience of managing acquired speech, language and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
  • Experience of eating, drinking, feeding and swallowing assessment and management (essential).
