Speech and Language Therapist in Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist

About the Role:
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Stroke Rehabilitation to join our team at Douglas Grant Rehabilitation Centre, Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and manage a shared caseload of patients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties post-stroke.
- Work collaboratively with patients, carers, and the multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective and comprehensive rehabilitation.
- Provide clinical support and leadership to students, SLTAs, rehab support workers, and Band 5 SLTs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- University Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Certificate to practise from HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
- Post Graduate Qualification in Dysphagia.
- Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (desirable).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Working Arrangements:
37 hours per week. Car licence/Car ownership is essential for this role.
