We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our dynamic service in adult mental health for people who live in Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley (DGS).
The post holder will be based at Arndale House, within the DGS Psychological Therapies service which includes psychological clinicians of several disciplines. The DGS Psychological Therapies service works closely and in collaboration with the DGS Community Mental Health team as integrated services to provide a comprehensive service to adults with complex and longstanding mental health conditions and emotional difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- To deliver 'initial interventions' to people accessing adult mental health services as part of the Clinical Care Pathways in the CMHT. Specific and targeted training will be provided by experienced Psychological Practitioners and all interventions supported by weekly clinical supervision from Psychological Practitioners.
- To undertake clinical and service performance related administration, audit and research projects, teaching and service improvement project work under the professional guidance of a qualified psychologist. This includes overseeing the clinical outcomes project for psychological therapies across the North Kent directorate.
