Credit Controller

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dual role, combining Credit Control and Sales Administration responsibilities. As a Credit Controller/Sales Admin, you will be responsible for maintaining a section of the sales ledger, setting up new cash customer accounts, and managing daily postings of receipts. You will also be involved in debtors list chases, statement query management, and reviewing customer credit limits with credit agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a section of the sales ledger as designated by the Branch Manager
- Set up new cash customer accounts
- Post daily receipts received in the bank account
- Chase monies due or overdue, send out copy invoices, and review stop lists
- Manage statement queries
- Review accounts trading over the agreed credit limit and review processes to reduce order release volumes
- Review customer credit limits with credit agencies
- Ensure branches are aware of accounts trading over the credit limit and action accordingly
- Manage petty cash and prepare banking cash and cheques
- Perform end-of-day banking for both depots and reconcile
- Process orders
- Answer customer queries
- CICM qualified (ideal but not essential)
- GCSE Grade 6 Maths and English or equivalent or Level 3 Admin/business or finance qualification
- Microsoft Office packages experience essential
- 5 years' experience in a similar role or industry, with experience of products
- Organisational knowledge and great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Sales Ledger experience
