Decision Analysis Services Limited is a leading consultancy for critical national infrastructure. We support a range of Energy, Defence, Government, Health, and Transport contracts in the UK.

The Role

We are hiring for an experienced Strategic Cost Analyst with a background in cost analysis and government approvals to lead our project delivery team with a key defence client. The Strategic Cost Analyst will:

  • Contribute to the development of the economic and financial cases for business models, providing evidence and analysis to support these cases.
  • Operate from the Southeast, with your primary base being either Bristol or Basingstoke DAS office.
  • Work closely with and effectively influence senior stakeholders to align on strategic objectives and secure their support.
  • Lead the delivery of consultancy projects and manage a DAS team.
  • Build and nurture strong internal and external relationships to enhance collaboration and drive success.
  • Manage client relationships, and actively seek out new business opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

Applicants will have a proven track record in the defence domain and will be looking to use their skills on a wide range of projects and business growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in developing concepts of analysis to establish robust cost estimation processes during the early stages of business case development.
  • Experience in delivering cost estimates that inform and support programme decision-making.
  • Knowledge of government approval processes, with the ability to navigate and support formal approvals.
  • Proven experience engaging with approval scrutiny bodies and communities, ensuring alignment and compliance.
  • Understanding of government guidelines, including HMT Green Book and Aqua Book, with the ability to apply these principles in practice.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Must hold a valid DV clearance.
