Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team at Bright Horizons Bickley Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children, aged from birth to five years old.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our nursery team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes children's learning and development.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities and play opportunities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities and progress.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and healthy environment, adhering to our safeguarding and health and safety policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education.
  • Work closely with your Assessor to complete your formal qualification and achieve your career goals.

Requirements

  • A commitment to completing your Apprenticeship and achieving your qualifications.
  • GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2. If not already held, a willingness to complete Functional Skills alongside your Apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience working with children is beneficial, but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for early years education and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Able to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to use a variety of techniques to engage with children and adults.
