Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Visitor to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services to children and families.
- Assess child and family needs, using appropriate assessment and risk tools, to ensure that each contact with a child includes an assessment of their health and development needs.
- Support breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships, applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
- Ensure that advice, support, and services provided take account of clients' or families' race, culture, religion, and language.
- Have full knowledge and understanding of Local Safeguarding Board Procedures and Trust guidelines, exercising vigilance regarding vulnerable families and responding as necessary.
- Work closely with local authority colleagues.
- Be a registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) active on the NMC register.
- Have previous experience managing cases where a child has a protection plan.
- Have a high standard of clinical work.
- Hold a valid UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
