About the Role

Montcalm Collection is seeking a skilled and ambitious Loading Bay Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to all guests in accordance with our brand standards.

As a Loading Bay Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, observing for signs of crime or disorder, and acting lawfully in direct defence of life or property. You will also be responsible for apprehending criminals and evicting violators, taking accurate notes of unusual occurrences, and reporting in detail any suspicious incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protecting company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Observing for signs of crime or disorder and investigating disturbances
  • Acting lawfully in direct defence of life or property
  • Apprehending criminals and evicting violators
  • Taking accurate notes of unusual occurrences
  • Reporting in detail any suspicious incidents
  • Patrolling randomly or regularly building and perimeter
  • Monitoring and controlling access at building entrances and gates
  • Watching video cameras and operating detecting/emergency equipment
  • Performing first aid or CPR if trained to do so

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
  • Trained security officer with diploma (preferable)
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment (preferable)
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • High school degree
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend and evening work will be required)

Eligibility

Candidates must be authorised to live and work in the UK. Currently, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
