About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Assistant to join our team at Bright Horizons St. Mary's Day Nursery and Preschool in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan and implement engaging activities and learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and shared understanding of children's needs.
- Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes children's welfare, protection, health, and safety.
- Support the development of children's skills and abilities through play-based learning and interactive activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting (ideal but not essential).
- Passion for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote children's development.
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and parents through effective communication and teamwork.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
