Job Title: HGV Technician - Commercial Vehicle Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Platinum Recruitment Consultancy. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vehicle inspections to DVSA and FTA standards.
• Diagnose, repair, and service commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT tests.
• Perform vehicle servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to ensure compliance.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a "Time Served" HGV Mechanic.
• Hold a City & Guilds 2 or 3 Certificate.
• Equivalent with experience and technical expertise in HGV and trailer servicing and repairs.
• IT literate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers and fleet diagnostics.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Initiative to work autonomously.
• If you hold a HGV license (Class 1) or IRTEC license, this is a bonus.
