This is a permanent role with a focus on supporting young individuals facing emotional and mental health challenges.

Compensation: £29,855.00 per annum/pro rata

Multiple positions are available, with flexible working hours ranging from full-time (37 hours per week) to part-time. Please specify your preference in your application.

  • Establish rapport quickly to identify risks and facilitate further support.
  • Offer structured one-on-one sessions when appropriate.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about working with young people and understanding mental health.
  • Skilled in developing therapeutic relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Experienced in environments addressing emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.
  • Background in healthcare, education, youth work, or social work.
  • Able to provide direct, person-centered therapeutic support.
  • Competent in improving the wellbeing of children and young people in crisis situations.
  • Knowledgeable about contemporary mental and emotional health challenges faced by young people and effective interventions.

Given the dynamic nature of this role and the requirement for clinical record-keeping, a good level of IT proficiency is essential.

About The Children's Society: We have been dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and young people for over 140 years. Our local services assist those in need, advocating for changes in laws and policies to enhance the lives of children.

We welcome applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds, particularly from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities.
