Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager

VanRath is proud to represent a mid-sized practice specializing in corporate tax services. We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of corporate tax compliance projects, including tax provisioning work and interactions with HM Revenue and Customs. They will also plan tax compliance timetables, manage day-to-day tax compliance affairs of clients, and provide consultancy services on ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a portfolio of corporate tax compliance projects
  • Assist in tax provisioning work and interact with HM Revenue and Customs
  • Plan tax compliance timetables and liaise with client teams
  • Manage day-to-day tax compliance affairs of clients
  • Provide consultancy services on ad-hoc projects
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships at senior levels
  • Support Partners and Directors in developing new business relationships and business proposals
  • Identify risk and technical matters while exercising judgment within agreed parameters
  • Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales
  • Ensure adherence to the firm's quality control procedures
Requirements:
  • CTA or ACA qualified or equivalent
  • Significant understanding of and previous experience within tax compliance and tax advisory
  • Strong corporate tax technical skills over a broad range of issues
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service at all times
  • Good organizational and administration skills
  • Proven people management capability
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills
