We are working with a major national homes developer with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality homes throughout the UK.

Due to internal restructuring, we are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead the busy technical team based in Hampshire.

About the Team

We are seeking a senior technical professional with considerable experience working with large developers.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a large in-house planning and design team consisting of town planners, architects, architectural technologists, civil and structural engineers, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish design programmes and specifications for each project in accordance with agreed budget parameters and monitor progress during the build programme.
  • Oversee the development and production of a standard range of house and apartment types and standard details to meet all requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, ensuring that all projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Attend management meetings on a weekly basis and report on progress to the board on a bi-monthly basis.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with recent relevant experience and the skill and drive to further develop a high-functioning team.

The role will be office-based, with some flexibility if required, but predominantly office-based with visits to projects as necessary.
