Assembly Operative Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Operative to join our team at TXM Recruit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in complex mechanical assembly and be able to work with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble components following written instructions
  • Support and follow company procedures and processes
  • Work without supervision and be self-motivated with a 'Can Do' attitude
  • Respond to Manufacturing and Engineering requirements in a timely manner
  • Undertake other reasonable duties at the request of the Manufacturing Manager
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in a complex mechanical assembly environment
  • High level of attention to detail and adherence to process
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with precision and implement high-precision tasks
Preferred Skills:
  • Cable manufacture experience
  • Soldering experience
  • Assembly experience
  • Fibre optic experience
  • PCB experience
  • Lean and other modern manufacturing methods and practices

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £20 PAYE or £26.29 via umbrella company, and a working week of Monday to Friday 8 hour days. If you are a motivated and experienced Assembly Operative looking for a new challenge, please apply today.
