About the Role
As a Senior Rail Fraud Investigator with Great Western Railway, you will play a critical role in transforming the way people think about train travel. We are looking for an experienced investigator to join our team of over 6,000 people from diverse backgrounds. Your mission is to prevent, mitigate, deter, and detect prolific fare evasion and fraud that impacts our business.

About You
We are seeking a skilled investigator who can contribute to our industry-leading Revenue Protection and Counter-Fraud Strategy. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in writing witness statements and be aware of your responsibilities regarding personal information and confidentiality under the Data Protection Act 2018. Additionally, you should understand current UK Fraud legislation and believe in the principles of Natural Justice.

Your Responsibilities
You will be involved in a wide range of initiatives and investigations aimed at preventing and detecting fraud. This includes participating in proactive fraud prevention exercises on trains and at stations, promoting a positive counter-fraud culture with the traveling public and within the workforce, and supporting Fraud Managers in delivering our revenue protection strategy. You will also participate in intelligence gathering activities and provide guidance to colleagues on best practices.
