Job Overview


Müller, a leading dairy company in the UK and Ireland, is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join its Market Drayton butter department. As part of the Müller Milk & Ingredients business, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality of our products.



About the Role


This permanent position involves working 4 days on, 4 days off, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing samples, providing expertise through quality-based testing, and contributing to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.



Main Responsibilities



  • Perform quality control tasks, including sampling, analysis, and data evaluation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Müller’s internal standards.
  • Participate in solving problems and troubleshooting through data analysis and evaluation, working collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) across the site, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure laboratory operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, adhering to relevant policies and procedures, such as 5S and other management systems.
  • Contribute to governance and ownership of Quality Index and other monthly reports, providing insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Take ownership of internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Müller's standards.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction and implement improvements in line with Müller’s values.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement continuous improvement projects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
