Job Title: Resource Allocation Specialist

About the Role:

Pertemps is seeking a skilled Resource Allocation Specialist to join their team in Bristol. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in managing resources effectively and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the department's needs and ensure seamless work allocation and resourcing.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates to comprehend client requirements and business needs, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Analyze individual skills, development needs, and career goals to inform resourcing decisions.
  • Apply commercial considerations to work allocation, promoting appropriate staffing and alternative delivery options.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one consultations with partners and associates around work allocation, workloads, and balance.
  • Update, track, and monitor capacity information on a weekly basis and maintain ad-hoc updates.
  • Track and analyze individual activity, identifying any discrepancies in time recording, and escalate issues when required.
  • Support individuals in improving productivity while balancing commercial needs and workload distribution.
  • Enforce the timesheet policy, encourage best practices, and provide training as needed.
  • Coordinate absences (holidays, special leave, unpaid leave) to ensure resourcing needs are always met.
  • Work with Partners and other stakeholders to manage non-billable commitments.
  • Assist with the joiner/leaver/returner process, including work reallocation and onboarding.
  • Produce accurate, commercially focused Management Information (MI), identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.

Requirements:

  • SIGNIFICANT experience in resource management, work allocation, or planning, ideally within a large professional or corporate environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships and adapt to various audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment on when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing demands.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Confident and resilient when facing challenges, with experience in conflict resolution.
  • Adept at leveraging technology, including data analysis in Excel.
  • Familiarity with resource management software is desirable, and knowledge of the BigHand Resource Management Tool is an advantage.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note that this is an estimate based on industry standards and location.
