Job Title: Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board NHS. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex needs, particularly those living with dementia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, supporting patients to meet their personal care needs, recording observations, and completing bedside documentation. You will work as part of a team of nurses, providing planned holistic care and nursing treatments under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Record observations and complete bedside documentation
  • Carry out general cleaning in the clinical environment, including preparing bed spaces and cleaning equipment
  • Work as part of a team to provide planned holistic care and nursing treatments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain clear and accurate records. You will also need to be a team player, able to work flexibly when required to meet the needs of the service.

A clear understanding of clinical governance and risk management is desirable, as is the ability to speak Welsh. However, this is not essential, and we welcome applications from Welsh and/or English speakers.
