About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crane Service Engineer to join our client's team in Tyne & Wear. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers by inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing overhead cranes and lifting equipment across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and service customers' overhead cranes and lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on safety and operational improvements to maintain compliance.
  • Liaise with on-site engineers and managers to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Electro-mechanical training with a bias towards electrical systems.
  • Time-served electrical qualification (advantageous).
  • Understanding and knowledge of electrical drawings (an advantage).
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Customer-focused with attention to detail and a trouble-shooting approach.
  • Organized and presentable with excellent communication skills.
  • LEEA qualifications (an advantage but not essential).
