Teaching Personnel SEN KS4 Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate KS4 Teacher to join our team at a large SEN Secondary School in Berkeley. The school caters to 11-16 year olds with SEMH needs, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to children and young people with complex or anxiety-related needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of students in a learning environment.
  • Monitor, assess, and review student progress, reporting to parents, team members, senior staff, and examination bodies as required.
  • Maintain knowledge through training and research, taking responsibility for own professional development.
  • Develop lesson plans, analyzing and reflecting on outcomes.
  • Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
Requirements:
  • PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent teaching qualification, with evidence of in-service training.
  • Experience working in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with SEMH.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate diploma in SEN.
  • Experience delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs.
