The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking cost variations, providing advice on contractual claims, identifying commercial risks, and managing post-contract cost variances.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project costs from initial calculations to final figures, minimizing costs while maintaining required standards and quality.
- Track cost variations and provide advice on contractual claims.
- Identify and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Conduct full construction take-off, prepare construction cost plans, and track costs and labor efficiency.
- Negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account.
- Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certificates/payless notices for sub-contractors each month.
- Submit valuations and final accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects.
- Experience in NEC Contracts and industry standards.
- Commercial knowledge and excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferable factory or industrial plant experience.
