About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at INEOS Grangemouth, an integrated refinery and petrochemicals centre of excellence. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards and site operating procedures, including the control of work, COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments, LOLER, and PUWER.
  • Liaise with planners and permit issuing authorities to ensure jobs are ready to start and risks are fully understood.
  • Examine mechanical equipment to identify potential faults and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Accurately record all work carried out using a suitable CMMS to inform planners and other asset personnel of plant status.
  • Participate in equipment improvement teams and contribute to the development of new equipment.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical qualification (SVQ level 3/HNC) and significant experience related to the role.
  • Knowledge of rotating machinery, including compressors, pumps, blowers, and RALs.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
  • Experience with air tools, air drills, and grinders, as well as pressure testing.
  • IT skills and ability to work to close tolerances.
