We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Library Assistant to join our Inter-Library Loans team at the Bodleian Library. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing items not held in Oxford collections on behalf of our readers, locating items in libraries both in the UK and internationally, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing and retrieving items from libraries both in the UK and internationally
- Providing excellent customer service to Oxford readers and external libraries
- Supplying items from Bodleian collections to other libraries, in line with set policies and procedures
- Responding to queries from Oxford readers and external libraries regarding inter-library loans
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of working in a library, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently. Experience of inter-library loans and using the Alma Library Management System would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
