At Sonos, we're pushing the boundaries of audio innovation, and we're looking for a talented Senior Audio Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to design and develop advanced acoustic systems, drive product development from initial exploration to mass production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced acoustic systems and structures for our products.
  • Evaluate and define system requirements to ensure top-notch quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of our technology roadmap, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Travel overseas as needed to meet project and business requirements.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in acoustics or a related field.
  • Proficient in building tools for system simulation and data analysis using Matlab.
  • Experience performing and interpreting audio measurements in both electronic and acoustic domains.
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience articulating technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work full-time in either our Glasgow or London offices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Software programming experience, preferably in Python.
  • Familiarity with simulation software such as COMSOL.
  • Experience with supporting high-volume production in consumer electronics.
