Job Summary:

Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Unit Manager to lead our Vent-Speciality Unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical team and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Clinical Team: Provide oversight and direction to the clinical team of assigned vent unit, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with Physicians: Make rounds with physicians as necessary to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team to ensure a seamless care experience.
  • Review Care Plans: Review care plans daily to confirm that appropriate care is being rendered and make adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor Resident Conditions: Monitor residents' conditions and report accordingly to ensure that any changes or concerns are addressed promptly.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
  • Education: Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience: Experience as a supervisor in a specialized unit is required.
