Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a permanent Catering Supervisor to join our team at University Hospital Crosshouse. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for the daily preparation and production of food for patients, staff, visitors, and special events, ensuring high standards of culinary practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily preparation and production of food, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  2. Manage the economic use of catering provisions, materials, and resources.
  3. Directly supervise catering staff, providing guidance and support.
  4. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including staff, nursing staff, clinicians, managers, and visitors.
  5. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with departmental records.
  6. Exercise initiative to prioritize workload and make decisions regarding catering operations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and late evenings.

Working Hours:

27.7 hours per week, working four days over seven.
