About the Role

LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist Resource Provision within a mainstream primary school.

The position involves providing one-on-one support as well as working with small groups of students with long-term Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting teaching and learning in a Specialist Resource Provision
  • Working with students with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Providing one-on-one support and working with small groups
  • Maintaining, updating, and reviewing the progress of EHCPs
  • Collaborating with colleagues and following the class teacher's guidance

Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 supporting teaching and learning in schools or relevant qualification
  • Relevant experience working with SEN learners in an educational environment
  • Demonstrated ability to support SEN pupils individually, in small groups, and across full-class settings
  • Hold qualifications like TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills
