Job Summary: Islington Council is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our schools, including minor repairs and maintenance work, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
About the Role
This part-time position involves working 20 hours per week, term time only, from 1pm to 5pm (negotiable). We are looking for someone with suitable experience in facilities management, who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and manage school premises, including performing general handyman duties
* Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of services
* Conduct routine inspections to identify and report any defects or issues
Requirements
* Suitable experience in facilities management or a related field
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
* Experience with Microsoft Office Packages
* Valid DBS check
