Support Worker Role for Pupil with Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing SEMH support to a pupil with significant SEND requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people or adults with behavioural issues and be able to work under the instruction of teaching and senior staff to undertake support programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted support programmes for the pupil in a 1:1 capacity
  • Assist the teacher/SENCo in identifying the pupil's specific needs, barriers to learning, and current attainment and progress
  • Work closely with the teacher/SENCo to develop and implement support plans

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with young people or adults with SEND
  • Ability to work under the instruction of teaching and senior staff
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
