About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lecturer in Health to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a Lecturer in Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to our Level 3 Health Studies students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programmes, including identifying learning objectives and designing study materials.
  • Teach students in the classroom using a variety of teaching methods and ensure that teaching is based on current best practice.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, manage student issues, and create learner portfolios to agreed standards.
  • Demonstrate efficient operation of the teaching and assessment process and manage learner folders in line with audit requirements.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to gain one within two years.
  • Level 2 Qualification in English and Mathematics or willingness to undertake one within two years.
  • Degree or Professional Qualification relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of professional practice in the Health/Medical sector.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to working with students of all ages.
