Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical IT Support Specialist to join our innovative research and scientific company in the animal welfare industry based just outside of Edinburgh.

About the Role

This 1st Line IT Support role will be the first point of contact on our IT Service Desk, working with around 180 users. The team is made up of four 'hands-on' Engineers; two 1st Line Engineers and two 2nd Line Engineers, and you will all report to the IT Service Delivery Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for office applications, Microsoft 365, Active Directory Domain, and other IT-related areas.
  • Work closely with customers to resolve issues through phone calls, emails, and ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to 2nd Line Engineers as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge or experience with Office Applications, Microsoft 365, Active Directory Domain, and different areas of Network (Wired & Wireless).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
