Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical care and leadership for our acute in-patient psychiatric care units in Norwich.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Adult Psychiatry and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care and leadership for our acute in-patient psychiatric care units
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for patients with mental health conditions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for our patients
Requirements
  • Registration with the GMC and entry on the GMC Specialist Register (CCST) in Adult Psychiatry
  • Section 12(2) Approved under the Mental Health Act (MHA)
  • Approved Clinician Status
  • Experience of working in a similar role and setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
