Senior Power BI Developer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our team at Click Recruitment. This exciting role involves a mentoring and training aspect, working with our client in a hybrid working environment based in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data-rich dashboards using Power BI, with a focus on creating visually appealing and informative reports.
  • Write DAX expressions and implement row-level security in Power BI to ensure data accuracy and security.
  • Extract and transform datasets for reporting and analysis using tools such as SQL, R, Alteryx, and Snowflake.
  • Undertake thorough and detailed analysis, developing recommendations and presenting outcomes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture and modeling, including facts and dimensions, materialized views, and data quality assurance.
  • Ensure data protection considerations are met, with a focus on user experience in Power BI reporting.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Power BI certified or extensive report writing experience using business intelligence/visualization tools.
  • Power BI mentoring/training experience.
  • Proven experience of creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security in Power BI.
  • Experience in extracting and transforming datasets for reporting and/or analysis using tools such as SQL, R, Alteryx, Snowflake, etc.
  • Proven experience of undertaking thorough and detailed analysis and using those findings to develop recommendations, presenting outcomes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience of data architecture and modeling (e.g., facts and dimensions, materialized views, etc.).
  • Proven experience of ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Understanding of user experience in Power BI reporting.
  • Knowledge of data protection considerations.
