Culinary Professional

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Aspens Services Ltd. As a market leading contract catering company specializing in school food, we encourage creativity and excitement in our kitchens. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools.

As a Chef in one of our schools, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering healthy, nutritious, and fun menus for students and staff. You will focus on delivering high-quality food and service while showcasing your flair and originality. Your responsibilities will include menu preparation, ensuring food hygiene compliance, producing hospitality services, supervising teams, building relationships with clients and customers, and providing excellent customer service.

To succeed in this role, you should have some knowledge of education catering, using fresh ingredients, and possess excellent craft skills. You must have Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 certification (further training available) and excellent knowledge of health and safety practices. Additionally, you should be computer literate with experience in using different systems, self-motivated, and able to use your own initiative.

This role offers fantastic hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time, allowing for more time with friends and family. The salary range is £15.50 - £16 per hour, paid for 40 hours per week, with no late nights, and 39 weeks per year based around term time.
