Job Title: Structural Steel Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Estimator to join our team at Precise Recruitment Services Limited.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for structural steel projects and ensuring cost control measures are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary information
  • Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare detailed and competitive tenders and proposals
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as an Estimator in the construction or engineering industry
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of cost control techniques and methodologies

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £30,500.00-£43,678.66 per year

Benefits: Company car, Company pension, Employee discount, Free parking, On-site parking

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Education: Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience: Surveying: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
