Lawyer Trainee

We are seeking a Trainee Solicitor to join our team at THC Recruitment.

The successful candidate will work with the General Legal Counsel to support the transformation of our business and provide day-to-day services as an in-house solicitor. This includes FCA regulation, litigation, commercial lending, employment, and commercial property.

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts
• Assisting the customer complaints team with consumer law and FCA regulation
• Advising on commercial lending and banking
• Assisting with litigation in commission complaints
• Providing legal advice on regulatory matters, including FCA regulation
• Representing the legal department at internal and external meetings
• Liaising with external counsel
• Reviewing customer contracts and documentation
• Ensuring financial advertisements comply with FCA and ASA rules
• Drafting commercial agreements
• Providing legal updates to management and staff
• Supporting the General Legal Counsel as company secretary
• Advising on HR matters and employment law

• A Law degree (or equivalent)
• Completion of the LPC or eligibility to qualify via the SQE route
• Able to build relationships with stakeholders
• Precise drafting ability
• A strategic thinker
• Interest in the motor industry and/or consumer credit
• Able to work under pressure

£25,000 + benefits per annum, based on location and experience.
