Aircraft Structural Inspector

Morson Technical Services is seeking a skilled Aircraft Structural Inspector to join our team at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing structural repair and manpower, ensuring compliance with WMS and OP 1103. They will also maintain technical currency and authorisation through training and reading disseminated information.

• Manage structural repair and manpower
• Hold authorisations to the minimum level required by WMS
• Maintain technical currency and authorisation
• Provide technical guidance on repair instructions
• Carry out aircraft structural repairs
• Complete GOLDesp procedures
• Conduct damage surveys
• Manage support activities
• Ensure tasking unit has all spares and tooling requirements
• Observe authorised tool control procedures

• Aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or Service equivalent Trade Training
• Lead Repair engineer experience within a repair organisation
• Composite repair activity experience
• Meet the minimum criteria as specified in WMS OP 1103
• Full understanding of Military aircraft engineering and documentation
• Full understanding of Military aircraft operation in base and field locations
• Current and competent in the use of GOLDesp
