About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team at Protalent. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and accounts services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver audit assignments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Prepare and review limited company accounts, partnership and sole trade accounts, and corporation tax computations.
  • Supervise junior staff during audits and reviews, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage client communication, ensuring effective and proactive communication throughout the engagement.
  • Monitor assignment budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing process improvements.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns, highlighting any deficiencies or areas for concern.
  • Mentor junior accounts and audit trainees, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Requirements
  • Strong academic background and experience working within an accounting practice environment.
  • Unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong logical and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and organization in managing time to deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a highly professional team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Professional and friendly communication, with a dedication to technical competence and ongoing professional development.
