Potter Projects is a forward-thinking building design company in Cambridge, Tasmania, delivering innovative commercial and residential projects.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled architectural technician to support our architecture and interior design team. This role involves working on various exciting commercial and residential projects, creating high-quality documentation packages that meet regulatory requirements.

The position is permanent but can be taken as a contract role with flexible hours (24 – 38 hours per week) negotiable for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed documentation packages using ArchiCAD, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and council regulations.
  • Collaborate with consultants, councils, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits for measured surveys.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in drafting within a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with a commitment to quickly mastering ArchiCAD (if not already proficient).
  • Familiarity with the local architectural and building market.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A current Australian driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle.
