As a Senior Design Manager at AtkinsRéalis, you will play a vital role in shaping some of our exciting projects in the water sector. You will be part of a talented team where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' challenges head-on.

Our team specializes in all aspects of the Water sector, delivering water services into multiple other sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases.

Your Purpose

  • Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Understand, communicate, and manage project risks.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What You Can Bring

  • Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build.
  • Sound knowledge in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply, and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
  • Sound commercial, contractual, and programme experience.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Information:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
