Job Overview

Identity E2E Ltd is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect Expert to lead the design and implementation of large-scale, distributed cloud systems. This is a key leadership role that requires expertise in cloud security architecture, containerisation technologies, and event-driven architectures.

About the Role

As a Cloud Architect Expert, you will be responsible for leading the design of cloud-based systems and solutions, utilising AWS and modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven architectures, and serverless computing. You will also develop and implement robust security architectures for cloud solutions, ensuring data protection, regulatory compliance, and alignment with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of cloud-based systems and solutions using AWS and modern architectural patterns.
  • Develop and implement robust security architectures for cloud solutions.
  • Architect and oversee containerised environments using Kubernetes.
  • Design and manage messaging frameworks to handle real-time data processing across distributed microservices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architecture and development teams.
  • Ensure that cloud architectures are compliant with industry regulations and company security policies.
  • Champion the development of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed cloud systems, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Extensive experience with cloud security architecture, including knowledge of AWS security best practices.
  • Deep expertise in containerisation technologies and Kubernetes for orchestration in production environments.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures, with strong expertise in queue-based systems including Kafka.
  • Strong background in microservices architecture and hands-on experience with Java-based backend systems.
  • In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical mentorship.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £95,000 - £100,000 per year, depending on experience.
