Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Edinburgh Park, Scotland. As a key member of our sales and commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business growth and profitability across our portfolio of premium brands.

Your primary objective will be to secure distribution and activation of our brands across different occasions, ensuring a triple win for our customers, consumers, and Diageo. You will work closely with our National Accounts Managers to determine the best opportunities to manage cost and maximize value at an account level.

As an Account Executive, you will be accountable for handling all Tier 1 customer accounts directly, where your primary focus will be on delivering agreed visibility standards, ensuring outstanding quality, and coordinating extraordinary activation. You will direct this activity within your territory and play a leadership role across the Hub team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Successful activation of high-impact activity plans based on analysis and core insight into customer strategy, shoppers, and consumers
  • Activities within the agreed JBP (where applicable) are delivered with a focus on 100% implementation to maximize the return on investment and deliver the required brand and profit targets
  • Detailed tracking and analysis of financial performance, ensuring targets are successfully reached through necessary course correction as required
  • Actioning insights derived from data to drive business performance
Decision Maker for:
  • Business Performance Management: Determining the account-level best view forecast submission in partnership with National Accounts Managers
  • Customer Value Chain Management: Determining the best opportunities to manage cost and maximize value at an account level
  • Resolution and closure of all customer claims and disputes
  • Accurate and timely approval of rebates, invoice claims, and deductions
  • Activation Investment: Aligning on activation plans, preparing pre- and post-M&E, and agreeing on activity with customers – in partnership with National Account Managers

Essential Experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to compile and collate data to derive insight and action
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Good commercial understanding, P&L literacy – strong numerical skills
  • Ability to interact and influence at multiple levels
  • Full clean driver's license
  • Experience working with luxury or premium brands is advantageous, but not essential

Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This salary estimate is based on the national average for similar roles in the UK.
