Financial Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Accord Multi Academy Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Accountant to provide exceptional financial processing support services to the Trust's central Finance Team. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class accountancy and financial service to the Trust and its academies, including internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Manager in implementing changes to financial procedures, ensuring compliance with external regulations, and preparing monthly management accounts.
- Analyze and investigate variances, and forecast expenditure to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide high-quality financial support to the Trust and its academies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure seamless financial operations and effective financial decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial systems, processes, and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with financial regulations and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
