Senior Accounts Assistant Role

A dynamic and growing SME in the Camberley area is seeking a highly skilled and efficient Senior Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the department by ensuring the seamless execution of both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, as well as assisting with financial reporting and analysis, and preparation of budgets and forecasts.

For the right individual, there is a clear path for career progression, as the company will provide support for professional development through training and mentoring, which may include a study support package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate data entry for accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Credit control and management.
  • Assist in financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Handle queries related to invoices and payments, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable roles, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to assist with whatever is required.
  • Degree in accountancy and finance, or AAT qualification (desirable).
