Project Manager

Kongsberg Gruppen is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Commercial Marine business in Gateshead, UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, to budget, and to a high standard of quality.

The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification in project management or a technical discipline, supplemented by experience in a similar role and/or environment. Project Management accreditation would be highly advantageous.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the sales process to ensure project delivery meets customer requirements.
  • Developing, producing, and maintaining detailed project management plans.
  • Ensuring all key tasks, budgets, and milestones are identified and programmed with project stakeholders.
  • Contributing to business monthly project reviews to ensure effective management of project status, finances, and cash-flow performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong planning and organizing skills, with the ability to manage short, medium, and long-term activities and deliverables. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Minimum qualifications and requirements include:

  • Degree-level qualification in project management or a technical discipline.
  • Considerable experience in the management of projects of increasing complexity, preferably within the marine sector.
  • Valid EU Passport or other current permission to work in the UK.

Relevant experience in project coordination, schedule planning, and reporting, as well as customer interface and programme reporting, is highly desirable.
