Graduate Engineer

BEAR Scotland is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join their team and contribute to the delivery of road maintenance and improvement projects.
The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day activities, including the execution of allocated works to technical standard, programme, and budget. They will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling costs, establishing good relationships with clients and customers, and planning their day-to-day workload.
The role includes:
- Complying with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
- Delivering allocated individual projects on time and within budget.
- Assisting with effective monitoring and control of costs.
- Establishing good relationships with clients, customers, and other bodies.
- Assisting with answering correspondence.
- Planning day-to-day allocated workload.
- Assisting with undertaking the Designer's role in accordance with the CDM Regulations and drafting appropriate risk assessments.
- Assisting with the production of Health & Safety Information packs.
- Assisting with the management and supervision of 'As of Right' sub-contractors.
- Assisting with the delivery of winter maintenance, as required.
- FOLLOWING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME AS APPROPRIATE.
- Assisting the Delegated Engineer and others within the teams as required.
The ideal candidate will possess a current experience/qualification in a relevant discipline to degree level, a full working knowledge and understanding of relevant engineering discipline, and be able to use analysis, design, and office software as required. They will also be commercially aware and able to work to strict deadlines.
