Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Support Worker to join our Outpatient Oncology/Haematology Unit at the Judy Beard Day Unit in Conquest Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with trained SACT nurses to deliver an efficient service, carrying out Aseptic Non-Touch Technique procedures as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the trained SACT nurses in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer treatments and supportive therapies.
  • Carry out Aseptic Non-Touch Technique procedures as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Requirements
  • National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care or acceptable alternative Level 3 qualification.
  • Care Certificate.
  • Demonstrable ability to acquire skills appropriate to provide Scope of Practice commensurate to clinical area.
  • 12 months' experience in a health or social care environment, preferably within the last two years.
